The Me Who Gets you
Break those chains & limits!
When I was 22, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis. This chronic illness slowly took my life away. I struggled for decades with chronic fatigue, overwhelm, pain, chronic inflammation, eventually having to walk away from my career, my home and my life as I knew it. I was always exhausted, disconnected, unhappy, hurting and that led to ongoing anxiety and depression, on top of all the other symptoms.
Multiple surgeries and treatments over the years led to little to no relief and I was on powerful drugs that led to serious short and long-term horrible side effects, including anxiety, depression and chronic pain. It took over 15 years for me to realize that everything was linked
Out of sheer desperation, I decided I had to figure out how to heal myself mentally, physically and emotionally. I walked away from the Corporate world after over 20 years, educated myself as a Certified Coach, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), sold my home, simplified my life, and slowed down.
I absolutely love seeing my clients find the clarity and inspiration to transform their lives. I also became a Mindfulness-Based Facilitator as mindfulness helped me to reduce my pain, anxiety and depression significantly. I was able to rediscover my creativity, joy and freedom, which I had not experienced for so long!
My approach is holistic, integrative and tailored to your needs while drawing on the evidence-based practices of Existential Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Structural Family Therapy (SFT). I incorporate mindfulness into my work with clients when appropriate and have a deep interest in anxiety, depression, chronic illness, ADHD and trauma and continue to educate myself on supporting people with these challenges and more.
I enjoy developing and running Mental Wellness, Stress-Management and Mindfulness programs for various organizations, including the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the University of Toronto and teach mindfulness for individuals and organizations. I also provide coaching to the University of Toronto staff, including BIPOC (Black Indigenous and People of Colour) staff. Programs help better cope with stress, anxiety, depression & the overwhelm that many people are coping with, to help them get their lives back, improve their well-being & energy, find peace and joy.
Join me as you step into the new version of yourself, making deeper connections, becoming the catalyst for finding your peace, alignment and joy!
My passion and purpose is to support people who are looking for support with emotional distress, stress .
