Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

STARTING MARCH 4, 2024

8-week MBSR program

Join me as I co-facilitate this restorative program through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto starting March 4th weekly on Mondays at 6 pm EST.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an
8-week program that can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and working memory, develop more awareness, increase resilience, and enhance focus and concentration.

This is a great way to pause and give yourself the gift of self-care, develop capacity for greater calm and teaches practical skills to manage stress and build resilience.

The majority of MBSR program participants report lasting decreases in psychological and physical symptoms exacerbated by chronic stress and the stress that can result from managing chronic health conditions.

Together we will practice mindfulness meditation practices, breath-work and gentle movement techniques, reflective and practical exercises, and discussions on stress.

Please note that the mindful movement exercises will have options to modify movements and poses for comfort and safety.

All you need is a comfy, quiet place to sit!

Self-Compassion for Women Program

Are you a woman who struggles with self-criticism and judgement? Would you like to improve the way you deal with difficult emotions? Would you like to reduce your anxiety and stress?

Who this course is for:

Women who would like to learn how to comfort, soothe and motivate themselves with gentle encouragement when they suffer, fail, or feel inadequate.

This is also helpful for those who struggle with a strong inner critic or perfectionism, women who care for others and would like to model self-compassion with those they care for through their own practice.

What you’ll learn:

Together we will develop self-kindness and ease as we learn how to connect to ourselves with self-compassion and gentle support.

You will learn mindful self-compassionate tools to help you manage your life, reduce the impact of stress on you while you improve your relationship with yourself and your relationship with others.

Instead of judging and criticizing yourself for inadequacies or shortcomings, self-compassion means you show yourself kindness and understanding.

Together we will walk the path to accepting yourself, building your inner strength and thriving!

Community & Space:
We will come together in a safe, supportive space with other women who understand and relate to what you are going through.

Building Better Boundaries for Women Program

Learn how to deal with difficult, toxic or stressful people with courage, wisdom and self-compassion.

Heart-Centred Mindfulness

5 weeks starting Thurs Feb 23
from 7pm - 8:30pmEST

Heart Centred mindfulness can help you to soften your body, open your heart and reconnect with a strong sense of peace and ease.

Heart-centered practices have also been shown to increase positive emotions such as love, joy, gratitude, contentment and hope.

I will guide you in a heart-centered practice and a journaling reflection about your experience to help you imagine how you might integrate this practice into your life.

Women who feel plagued by stress, fear or anxiety, struggling with finding calm and peace, feeling disconnected, longing to live their truth and experience freedom.

What you’ll learn:

How to meet challenges with courage, wisdom and self-compassion, understand why trying to avoid stress, fear and anxiety does not work, see how your anxiety and stress leads to compulsive behaviours, make more conscious choices in pressured situations.

You will learn valuable mindfulness skills to help you manage those difficult emotions and thoughts. You will lean into your reliable inner resources of safety, strength and connection. Drawing on these resources, you can stay present when stress arises and meet the situation bravely, wisely, with interest and care. You learn to respond, rather than react.

Mindfulness for chronic pain workshop

I invite you to join me for a morning of healing & supportive community.

This workshop addresses current neuroscience research related to understand and reduce chronic pain. You will learn breath-work, gentle movement and mindfulness meditation practices to reduce pain and cope more effectively with any remaining pain.

This workshop offers a new understanding of chronic pain and techniques to integrate pain management into your daily life.

mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR)

This 8-week psycho-educational group program helps to develop your capacity for greater calm and teaches you practical skills to manage stress.

The majority of MBSR program participants report lasting decreases in psychological and physical symptoms which are exacerbated by chronic stress. Research has demonstrated improved behavioural outcomes including better sleep, lower blood pressure, and fewer worries.

You will learn to develop a different relationship to stress resulting from chronic physical and psychological conditions.
