A little about me - and how I work

Support doesn’t have to be stiff or overly serious to be effective.
I believe in depth, steadiness, and genuine connection - with room to breathe, reflect, and occasionally laugh when it helps you exhale.

Many of the people I work with are deeply capable, responsible for others, and used to being the one others rely on. Some come because something feels “wrong.” Others come because nothing is wrong - but sustaining everything has quietly become harder.

I work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and often holding more than they let on - and who are ready to slow things down and understand themselves more deeply.

After 25+ years in corporate environments, including supporting leaders and teams, I also work with senior professionals, founders, and executives who are functioning well externally but feeling the internal cost of sustained pressure.

About Lynne - beyond the credentials

I value authenticity, presence, and genuine connection - in my work and in my life.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me near the water, spending time with my family and our dogs, or moving my body in ways that feel grounding rather than punishing. Nature is where I reset when life feels full.

I’m naturally curious and reflective. I love learning, reading, writing, travelling, and cooking - and that curiosity carries into my work with clients.

I don’t believe therapy has to be stiff or overly serious to be effective. There’s room for depth, steadiness, and the occasional moment of humour - often right when it helps you exhale a little.

How I support clients

Working with me feels steady, supportive, and human.

My work focuses on helping people feel steadier and more at ease within themselves, especially during moments of stress, overwhelm, or emotional intensity. Sessions move at a thoughtful pace, with attention to both what you’re experiencing emotionally and how it shows up in your body. Together, we build greater awareness, flexibility, and self-trust so you have more choice in how you respond to life and relationships.

We take things at a pace that respects where you are - without pressure to perform, fix, or rush your healing. We work at a steady pace, grounded in safety, curiosity, and respect for where you are.

I often work with people navigating:

  • chronic stress and burnout

  • emotional overwhelm or long-standing patterns

  • complex family dynamics or emotional neglect

  • chronic illness and mind-body stress

  • life transitions or periods of feeling “stuck”

This approach also suits professionals in leadership roles who need clarity and capacity - not just symptom relief.

Our work together focuses on helping you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and able to make sense of your inner world - without pressure to perform, fix, or rush your healing.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in the corporate world, including leadership roles that required managing high expectations, deadlines, and competing demands. I understand what it’s like to function well on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside - and how hard it can be to make space for yourself when others rely on you.

My own experiences with burnout, chronic healh challenges and chronic stress deeply inform how I work. They’ve shaped my belief that healing doesn’t happen through pushing harder, but through slowing down, listening inward, and creating the right conditions for change.

I later trained extensively in trauma-informed psychotherapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and coaching, including certification as an MBSR teacher through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. I’ve since supported individuals, groups, and organizations across Ontario and beyond.
